Body recovered from Ottawa River identified as Tyson Yakabuskie

On the morning of June 17, 2020 human remains were located in the Ottawa River. Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) OPP responded to the scene just offshore from Mountainview Drive in Pembroke.

The remains have since been identified as that of Tyson YAKABUSKIE (LEMAIRE). YAKABUSKIE (LEMAIRE) was reported missing on November 11, 2019. He was 17 years old at the time of his disappearance. The cause of death is unascertained at the present time but remains under investigation by the Coroner’s Office.

The Investigation into the circumstances of his disappearance also remain under investigation by the OPP, under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch.
