Madawaska Valley CAO/Clerk authorized to solemnize marriages

Residents looking for an officiant for a civil marriage ceremony in the Valley need look no further than the municipal offices in Barry’s Bay. At the MV Council meeting of July 7, Council passed a By-Law authorizing the Township CAO/Clerk Suzanne Klatt to solemnize marriages.

 

Catch The Ace catches on throughout the Ottawa Valley

St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation: Congratulations to Palmer Rapids resident Jessie Hudder who won $1,751 in the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Week 25 Catch The Ace draw. It works the same way with a progressive jackpot that can only be won if your ticket reveals the Ace of Spades, but you can buy tickets online at  www.PRHcatchtheace.ca (In person ticket sales may become available in future as per COVID-19 regulations.) Ticket prices are as follows: 3/$5; 10/$10 and 40/$20, giving you the chance to win both the weekly prize and the progressive jackpot, with 50 percent of ticket sales going to the PRHF Cutting Edge Campaign and highest priority needs at the Pembroke hospital.
