Drugs seized in simultaneous raids in Pembroke

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has seized illegal drugs in Pembroke.

On January 20, 2021, as part of an ongoing investigation, CSCU members, assisted by members of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit, executed search warrants simultaneously at apartments on Cecelia Street and Catherine Street.

Officers seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, morphine, purple fentanyl and psilocybin (magic mushrooms). They also seized items typically associated with drug trafficking. Three Pembroke residents were arrested.

Jenny KIMMETT, age 40 and Robert TREGUNNA, age 47 are each charged under section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with three counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance and one count of Possession of a Schedule 3 Substance.

Brian St. Martin, age 50, is charged under section 4(1) of the CDSA with two counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance and one count of Possession of a Schedule 3 Substance.

The accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 9, 2021. The investigation is continuing.
