PRH thanks you for your patience

Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) issued this press release June 28:

The Pembroke Regional Hospital is thanking those who attended the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at the Pembroke Memorial Centre (PMC) today for their patience and understanding as multiple booking issues led to long lineups outside for a good part of the day.

“We acknowledge that several issues regarding appointment bookings arose today which resulted in a larger than normal number of individuals with booked appointments arriving at the PMC and creating a lengthy backlog at the entrance, on what was certainly one of the hottest days we’ve had,” said Carolyn levesque, Public Affairs and Communications Coordinator.

Recognizing that there is a lot of information circulating around booking vaccine appointments for first and second doses, Renfrew County and District residents are reminded to visit the Renfrew County and District Health Unit website at www.rcdhu.com for the latest information.

The Pembroke Regional Hospital operates the PMC Vaccination Clinic on behalf of the Renfrew County and District Health Unit.

Currently:

  • All residents age 12+ are eligible to receive a first dose of the vaccine. Walk-in appointments for FIRST DOSE ONLY are available at clinics in Pembroke, Chalk River and Renfrew.
  • All residents age 18+ are now eligible to BOOK AN APPOINTMENT through www.rcdhu.com to receive an early second dose. The second dose booking date must be at least 28 days after the first dose of Pfizer or Moderna or at least eight weeks after a first dose of Astra Zeneca.
  • Anyone 18+ who had a SECOND DOSE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED AFTER JULY 18 must rebook their appointment for an earlier date through the Health Unit’s website at www.rcdhu.com. All appointments booked after July 18th will be automatically cancelled.
