Killaloe OPP seek assistance after pedestrian struck by truck in Barry’s Bay

On Wednesday July 7, 2021, at approximately 10:55 a.m.,  members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision between a pick-up truck and a pedestrian on Opeongo Line, at Bay Street in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

The driver of the pick-up truck was travelling east on Opeongo Line, and struck a pedestrian that was walking within the crosswalk. The 60 year old pedestrian from Madawaska Valley was taken to hospital by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. The 77 year old driver of the pick up truck from South Algonquin Township was not injured.

Police are asking anyone with information surrounding this collision to contact the Killaloe OPP Detachment at 613-757-2600 or Crime Stoppers.
