And the winner is …

Lady Luck has been smiling on Valley folks recently. Not only does Barry’s Bay have a new Lotto Max Millionaire in Frederick Hubbard, but the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s weekly Catch The Ace Lottery has been enriching local winners every Thursday — like Dot Baird who won $913 in the Week #8 draw. Tickets for next week’s draw are on sale now at Round Lake Centre Food Market, AJ’s Convenience, Killaloe Hardware, Charlie D’s, Wilno Building Supply, Barry’s Bay MacEwen, Barry’s Bay Shell, Lorraine’s Pharmasave, Ramona’s Hairstyling, Whitney Pharmacy, CO Country Market, The Cottage Cup, Conway’s Pharmacy, Eganville Shell, Village Discount & Variety. Your $5 investment in a ticket might bring you an estimated $13,554 — while enriching local healthcare resources.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) ask: Did you know that where you’re currently standing has a unique three word code? What3Words assigns each 3-metre square in the world a unique combination of three words called a ‘what3words address.’ If you’re lost, this app can help officers precisely pinpoint your location. Please note, while you don’t need internet, cell signal is required to call the police and you can save time for emergency services by installing the What3Words app in advance of heading out.
