Suspicious death in Killaloe under investigation

The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a suspicious death at a residence in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards.

On Thursday, April 14, 2022, shortly before 2:00 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call at a residence in Killaloe. Officers located a deceased 42 year old female in the residence. The identity of the female is not being released at this time.

A post mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 16, 2022 in Ottawa.

Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.

The investigation is continuing, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), with assistance of the Renfrew County Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
