Barry’s Bay Beer Store donates to local healthcare

Submitted by St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation

The Barry’s Bay Beer Store raised an impressive $5,455.85 this summer through the collection of empty bottles and monetary donations from patrons at the till. Proceeds are being directed toward the purchase of medical equipment at St. Francis Memorial Hospital through the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation. Since the Barry’s Bay branch started collecting donations for the Foundation in 2020, they have been able to raise $19,495.00 for local healthcare. The Foundation sincerely thanks everyone who participated in this fundraiser! Pictured above, from left: St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation Executive Director Erin Gienow, SFVHF Board Member Cheryl Reid, Beer Store employee Carrie Picard, Beer Store Manager Rodney Biernaski, St. Francis Memorial Hospital Director of Patient Care Services Mary-Ellen Harris, Beer Store District Manager Rick Moreno and SFMH Chief Operating Officer Greg McLeod.
