Grief Support Group sessions begin Tuesday, Oct.24
Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care provides this safe, confidential, non-judgmental place to discuss the loss of a special person in your life. Friday, Oct.27 Trivia Night. Doors open at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre at 6:30pm and those challenging trivia questions begin at 7pm. Details at MV Public Library.
Saturday, Oct.28 Hallowe’en Hunt. This annual, family-friendly scavenger hunt starts at 10am and continues until 3pm. Dust off those Hallowe’en costumes and pick up a scavenger hunt map at either MV Public Library or Northern Credit Union in Barry’s Bay. Stop in at the Railway Station between 11am and 2pm to meet Casper and Friends, and enjoy a free hot dog lunch (while supplies last). Buy hot chocolate and cookie at Madawaska Coffee in support of MV Public Library. Remember to return your completed scavenger hunt sheet for a goodie bag (courtesy local businesses) at either the Library or Northern Credit Union. Thanks to all the businesses and organizations who collaborated on this popular annual event.
Killaloe & District Public Library to hold Community Consultations
Users of Killaloe & District Public Library are invited to attend a Community Consultation session this Saturday, Oct.28 at the Library. You can choose from 10:30am-12pm or 1pm-2:30pm. The Library will be grateful for feedback from you in the preparation of their five-year strategic plan. Last spring Sherwood Public School and Madawaska Valley District High School merged into a JK-12 school. You are invited to suggest a name for the new school. There are three ways to provide your input:
