Don’t ghost on safety this Hallowe’en

With Hallowe’en only a few nights away, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has created this fun safety video message to remind trick-or-treaters, parents and drivers of some tips to ensure a spooky yet safe Halloween night.


Pembroke Regional Hospital needs YOUR feedback

To develop a new five-year strategic plan for the Pembroke Regional Hospital, residents are being asked to complete a short survey which will help guide the health care facility into its 150th anniversary and beyond.

The Pembroke Regional Hospital’s public survey can now be accessed through the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WKTY3SZ

This link can also be found on the hospital’s website (www.pembrokeregionalhospital.ca) and social media sites (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram). All responses remain anonymous and confidential. The survey portal will close at 4 p.m. November 3rd.  


Art Gallery of Bancroft new exhibition

Author reading at Killaloe Library

On Saturday, Nov.4 at 10am Killaloe & District Public Library hosts an author reading by Margaret MacPherson as she shares her process writing Tracking the Caribou Queen: Memoir of a Settler Girlhood, recent winner of IPPY 2023 award as best non-fiction trade book in Western Canada.


OV Food Co-op Harvest Soiree

The Ottawa Valley Food Co-operative is hosting a Four Course Fundraising Dinner on Friday November 3rd at 675 Snodrifters Road in Eganville. Chef Paul Brennan will be preparing an incredible harvest dinner using delicious, local ingredients provided by OVFC producers. Your choice of 6:00 pm or 6:30 pm seatings, and choice of Roasted Stuffed Pumpkin or Rosemary and Sage Braised Beef Brisket for your main course. There will be beverages available from the cash bar.
