Ace of Spades unveiled next week with jackpot estimated at more than $400k

That’s right – there’s just one envelope left to be drawn in the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Catch The Ace progressive lottery – so be sure to choose Envelope #50 when you buy your ticket for next week’s draw because that’s where the Ace of Spades is hidden. Foundation staff and volunteers were excited to preside over the Week 51 Draw, an “Ace-off” between the Aces of Hearts and Spades. Lucky winner Cassandra Pereira of Killaloe selected Envelope #34 which revealed the Ace of Hearts, bringing her an incredible weekly prize of $27,484! Above Cassandra with her winnings. Photo SFVHF. A media release from the Foundation said that Cassandra purchased her ticket at the Barry’s Bay MacEwen and chose the number 34 because she will be turning 34 in a few months. She plans on sharing her winnings with her parents.

As SFVHF Executive Director Erin Gienow reminded viewers on the livestream of yesterday’s draw, the Catch The Ace lottery is a win/win for everyone. While one lucky ticket per week brings a substantial return on the $10 investment, more importantly proceeds from the lottery go towards local healthcare. Gienow said since this progressive lottery began in November 2023, more than 90,000 tickets have been sold either in-person or online, with proceeds used to purchase essential medical equipment for St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay. This week alone, $68,710 went to the Foundation for this purpose.

Next week only Envelope #50 is left and the total winnings are estimated at $409,708!
