Cyndi Mills to represent Liberal Party in Algonquin-Renfrew-Pembroke

Team Mark Carney attracts Cyndi Mills, president of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce, to reoffer as the Liberal Candidate in the 45th general Canadian election. This past Sunday, Prime Minister Carney visited the Governor General seeking a mandate from Canadians two weeks after handily winning the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada. The election is Monday, April 28th, 2025.

Cyndi Mills is an inspiring business entrepreneur, self-starter and community champion. She owns and publishes Canadian Military Family Magazine serving military families across Canada. As president of the local Chamber of Commerce, Cyndi works for hundreds of small and medium enterprises across the Upper Ottawa Valley.

“I am thrilled to be the Team Carney candidate. This election is about who can stand up to Donald Trump and build an economy that works for everyone. Mark has the experience and leadership to deliver for Canadians.” Cyndi stated, “These are serious times that require serious leaders!”

As Governor of the Bank of Canada, Mark Carney steered Canada through the 2008 global financial crisis. He led the Bank of England through the Brexit crisis. Now, he is ready to stand strong against Donald Trump’s tariffs and build a stronger Canada.

In just one week as Prime Minister, Mark Carney has cancelled the consumer carbon tax, moved to eliminate the GST on homes under $1 million for first-time home buyers, waived the EI waiting period, and made changes to the EI system, so workers get the supports they need faster, and announced a tax cut, saving families up to $825 a year.

Hard-working Canadians will keep more of what they earn.

“In our newly named electoral district of Algonquin-Renfrew-Pembroke people have a clear opportunity to vote for a voice in Ottawa that will champion our local economic and social interests. I am that person.” said Cyndi Mills, “For too long our area has lagged behind the country economically, missing the chance to capitalize on our geographic advantage.”

Cyndi is a dedicated military spouse, married to husband Scott for 30 years. Together they have four children, Madeline (Rob), Evan (Hailey), Delaney and Connor, and four grandchildren.

“I’m hearing from so many people who are excited to vote Liberal under the leadership of Mark Carney. They know that the Liberal Party is the local choice for change,” enthused Cyndi, “I’m really excited to get to all parts of our riding, to listen and connect with residents on what matters to them.”

Supporters are encouraged to get in touch with our campaign through our website, to request a sign, make a donation, and volunteer as the team gears up for a dynamic election.

Having carried the Liberal banner in the last election, Cyndi is once again demonstrating her dedication, tenacity and deep-rooted commitment to our community. Backed by a strong team of volunteers with elbows up in defence of Canada.

Pierre Poilievre is following Donald Trump’s playbook to make divisive cuts to the services Canadians rely on. He is the wrong choice at the wrong time. Mark Carney will deliver change to cut taxes, create new jobs, and build the fastest-growing economy in the G7.

Only Mark Carney and the Liberal team will keep Canada strong.
