Small Business Week Oct.15-21
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce says small businesses are at the heart of the Innovation Economy. Small businesses have always been the backbone of Ontario’s economy, a driving force behind innovation and economic growth in the province. These resilient enterprises generate new ideas, create jobs and foster community resilience. In partnership with Desjardins, the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce and Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) are delighted to unveil the annual Small Business Week Campaign, Small Business, Big Ideas. This year’s campaign will underscore the impact and potential of small business innovation and the importance of supporting these businesses beyond recovery and toward growth.

Turtle season not over yet
Now that we are into October turtle season is most certainly winding down but not over yet, says Kelly Wallace at Think Turtles Conservation Initiative. Autumn is a busy time for Ontario’s turtles and the other wildlife we share the roads with. Please be alert to possible encounters and remind other motorists in your household and visitors to do the same. Wallace thanks the amazing network of Volunteers, Partners, Friends, Supporters and Colleagues who make the mission to help turtles not just possible, but worthwhile.
