The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation is thrilled to announce a new and improved seventh edition of its Catch the Ace lottery (RAF1340755). You now have two options to buy your Catch the Ace tickets: in person at your favourite vendor or online.
At top: Catch the Ace volunteers are excited to announce that you have two ways to play Catch the Ace – by purchasing tickets online or in person! Front row, from left: Jane Beahan, Pauline Burchat, Sharon Florent and Maxine Smaglinski. Back row, from left: Ed Chippior, Ken Kuiack, SFVHF Communications and Fundraising Coordinator Christine Hudder and volunteer driver Emmett Pecarski.
Our provincial licensing body (AGCO) limited how we conducted our past draws, only allowing us to choose paper-based or costly online lotteries.
The Foundation, through in-depth research, has now developed a unique AGCO-approved solution, that allows supporters to purchase online tickets and/or paper-based tickets. Before every draw, tickets purchased online will be printed out on paper identical to the in-person tickets and will be entered into the drum together with the tickets sold at vendors.
This is a cost-effective solution to address the needs of our supporters. With our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, the price per ticket will be $10. This strategic decision stems from our pursuit to extend this exciting opportunity to everyone who wants to support vital healthcare initiatives through Catch the Ace.

We believe this hybrid model will not only enhance the convenience of purchasing tickets, but also allows us to reach more supporters, ultimately contributing to our mission of improving healthcare services and making a positive impact on our community. Whether you purchase your ticket online or in person – You Win Because Your Hospital Wins.
This new method of selling tickets will allow you to take part in the fun no matter where you are any given week. If you are a seasonal cottager who enjoys buying Catch the Ace tickets while in the area, you can now support during the colder seasons too. If you can’t make it to a local vendor one week – you can simply log on to the website and purchase your ticket for the upcoming draw.
Funds raised from lottery 7 will help support the endless equipment needs at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
Ticket sales will begin on October 18th with the first live draw to be held on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. We will once again live stream the draw on our Facebook page at 4:00 p.m. every Thursday and publish the results on our website at www.sfvhfcatchtheace.com.
