Motorcyclist injured in Algonquin Highlands crash
The Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision in Algonquin Highlands Township, which resulted in a motorcyclist sustaining life-threatening injuries.
On July 22, 2024, at approximately 9:13 p.m., the Haliburton Highlands OPP, EMS, and Algonquin Highlands Fire responded to a report of a collision involving a passenger vehicle and motorcycle on North Shore Road. The driver of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital by EMS then transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre by ORNGE Air.
The road was closed in both directions between Highway 35 and Mifflin Road while members from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team attended to assist in the investigation.

Killaloe OPP investigate mischief to museum murals
Killaloe OPP is currently investigating damages to museum murals.
On July 18, 2024, police responded to the museum located on Bonnechere St W, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.
Painted murals were drawn on with red marker.

Satellite dish stolen in Madawaska Valley
Police are currently investigating the theft of a Starlink satellite dish.
On July 16, 2024, just after 1:00 p.m., police received information that the satellite dish had been stolen on July 15, sometime between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. from a residence on Opeongo Line, in the Township of Madawaska Valley.
